Hunting Leases in North Carolina

Looking for a place to hunt in the North Carolina Sandhills? Start with the tracts below. Each tract has its own hunting program, season dates and availability, so you can compare the actual terms before applying.

Choose a tract for your party

Check the county, acreage, lease price and maximum party size on the tract page. Tell us how many people will hunt and which season you want. A pending tract accepts backup applications; a leased tract may take a waitlist application for a later season.

Agree on access and use before the season

Ask about access arrangements, guests, stands, food plots and any timber work planned during the lease. Liability insurance is required. The application and written lease set the terms; submitting an application does not reserve a tract or authorize access.

Hunting rights and land ownership are different

A hunting lease grants the use described in the agreement. It does not include a purchase of the land or permission to use it for farming or pine-straw collection. If you want to own recreational land, compare the land-for-sale listings and ask about the intended use.
